BL Miller
Born in New England and raised in New York, BL enjoys a full life caring for
her special brother and two cats. A mushball romantic, she enjoys reading
and writing stories with happy endings and engaging characters. BL also
thoroughly enjoys researching American history and incorporating it into her
stories.
Currently, BL is currently working on the Eras of Love series, historical lesbian
romances focusing on couples struggling to find their way in the rapidly changing significant time
periods of America. Starting in 1852, the series is planned to run to modern times over more than a
dozen books. She also is working with another author on a separate historical romance set near the
heart of the Dust Bowl during the 1930’s.
BL is also the driving force behind Rose Quartz Publishing, finding satisfaction in helping fellow authors
produce quality books for the readers while earning one of the highest royalty percentages in lesfic.
Dawn Carter
Originally from England, Dawn now lives in Texas with her two children.
Dawn finds the relaxed atmosphere a wonderful place to pursue her love of
writing. When she is not working or creating works of fiction, she is
gardening, cooking, reading and volunteering her time as a paralegal for
Legal aid. Her interests in writing include poetry, short stories, novels and journalistic feature writing.
She is currently finishing up her newest novel, The Awakening.
Verda Foster
Verda Foster was born on a farm in the Missouri Ozarks. She was born
into a family of women. Her mother was number five of five sisters and
Verda is number five of six sisters. What a way to grow up, surrounded
by all those extraordinary women.
She and her twin sister are the youngest of six girls. Her father is reported to have said, “When
the girls start coming in twos, it’s time to stop trying for a boy.”
Verda manages a watch repair shop, edits manuscripts for Regal Crest Enterprises, and is the
author of three books on her own and three books coauthored with the wonderful BL Miller
Vada Foster
Vada Foster has done a lot of things in her life, including training for Roller
Games, performing on stage, doing a TV commercial, and working for Mattel
Toys, which afforded her the opportunity to travel all over the world.
However, the accomplishment which gives her the greatest joy, and is
something she has loved doing for a very long time, is writing.
Together with BL Miller, she wrote “Josie And Rebecca: The Western
Chronicles”, which is currently available electronically as well as in print. Long
after the publication of that novel, she attended an event known as “Bard
Con” in 2003 in Florida, and submitted a story based on a premise given to her by the organizers of the
event. The result was her short Story “The Sea Captain and the Lady”, which was the first place winner
that year. By popular request, she later turned that award winning story into a novel of the same name,
which was subsequently nominated for a Golden Crown Literary Award and was a finalist in two
categories. The book is no longer in print, but it is available electronically from Amazon Kindle.
Vada’s best known work may be the fan fiction she has penned inspired by Xena: Warrior Princess which
she began writing after discovering the early stories posted on the internet. These stories are available
on her website.
(I cannot mention Bardcon 2003 without adding that it was there I met Gypsy, the love of my life. She is
my rock and my pillow, yin to my yang. Anything worthwhile that I have created since we have been
together has been with her help and encouragement. I could not do it without her. )
